Why I ditched my morning routine
from 'guru' routine to...
For years, I had the ‘perfect’ morning routine:
Wake up
Meditate for 10 minutes
Journal my gratitude list
Do a quick workout
Dive into my day
It was supposed to set me up for success.
That’s what all the books and ‘success’ gurus said, right?
“Win your morning, win your life!”
But something felt off..
Despite doing all the ‘right’ things for years.
I’d still feel low-grade tension and frustration.
Like after I’d finished meditating…
My mind would be calm enough, sure… but the tightness in my shoulders, the clenching in my jaw? It lingered.
Even after my workout…
I felt like I had just pushed through more resistance instead of releasing it.
Despite all of these great habits in place, I still felt like I was carrying around a backpack full of rocks.
Causing non-stop stress, overwhelm and brain fog.
I just didn’t know exactly what it was.
Or how to let it go.
(So I could finally feel at ease with my day, instead of feeling anxious.)
Here’s something even worse:
For a long time, I ignored it.,
Convincing myself that this tension was just a part of everyday life.
But deep down, I knew something was wrong.
There HAD to be a better way.
Turns out, I had been missing a key piece all along. I had built routines that focused on my mind—calming it, organizing it—but my body was still holding onto layers of stress that my mind could never reach.
At least not directly…
Somatic work finally changed all of that.
Instead of forcing myself through another workout… or sitting in meditation while my mind wandered, I practiced feeling into my body instead.
Really tuning into those tight areas and releasing the stress that had been stored deep inside my nervous system.
Finally! It felt like I was finally waking up.
I remember the first time I had a deep somatic release. I remember this surge of energy, (along with deep emotion) suddenly gushing out of me.
I hadn’t experienced anything like this in… well, ever.
Less stress about my ‘to do’ list.
More being present with whatever I was doing.
Less ‘guru morning routine.’
More effortless flow than ever before.
Here is the point of all this:
Your body clings to more stress than you realize.
And if you feel nothing seems to be working for you? Like something’s “missing” from your day (or life), but you don’t know exactly what…
It’s likely cause your body’s carrying some tension that your mind cannot fix.
At least not directly.
Which is where The 20-Minute Neural Reset comes in.
I built it with the specific intent of helping people like you experience this same lightness for yourself.
A simple, 20-minute per week somatic habit can make ALL the difference.
All while lying on your back… For real haha.
And very soon…
I’ll show you exactly how (when I open the doors for the 20-Minute Neural Reset).
Here’s to easier mornings,
