She finally felt like herself...

for those self-aware, yet still stuck

Rachel lived with complex PTSD and generalized anxiety for years.

She’d been on medication since she was a kid, and was actively engaged in a natural healing process.

  • journaling

  • meditation

  • breath work

  • talk-therapy

All of it made her far more self-aware, yet she still felt stuck.

Why did she still find herself triggered into states where it was difficult to get out of bed?

Or finish tasks clearly laid out in her schedule?

Her anxiety was slightly more manageable, but she still struggled to show up for life’s responsibilities.

The occasional panic attack lingered, accompanied by an underlying sense in her body that something was ‘wrong.’

Rachel became obsessed, continually seeking help and alternative solutions.

Her psychiatrist was stumped:

“Let’s try this medication.”

Her parents offered little guidance:

“You should try more yoga”

And her doctor seemed indifferent:

“Decrease your caffeine intake.”

She followed every bit of advice (even the ones that didn’t seem to make sense).

She switched therapists multiple times, took more pills than she could count, and spent countless hours researching different methods.

It wasn’t until Rachel realized that an old trauma had been at the center of everything that things finally started to make sense.

And she began to understand how trauma gets stored, not in the mind, but in the body.

She recognized that her physical self had been holding onto ‘stuff’ for years, and that simply talking about her struggles wasn’t going to be enough.

It was around this time that she found my content and we started working together (last May).

She tried a solo somatic practice following our first session and I got this message the next day:

Her message makes me laugh & smile.

Because Rachel got real results real fast.

And today, she feels very different.

Primarily because Rachel had a lot of experience in therapy (strong self-awareness), so we were able to get straight to the root of the issue:

  • We used somatics to gently unwind her nervous system (so we could simultaneously teach it calm and resilience).

  • She learned to listen to her body’s signals (so she could meet her body’s needs for true healing).

  • We integrated specific movements and exercises to help calm her (so she can restore balance and regain control when stress arises).

  • We created a plan to rewire her relationship with stress (so she could respond to triggers with ease and confidence).

And the results?

Rachel’s uneasiness began to fade and she could finally breathe again without the constant fear of panic in her chest.

Her mind stopped spinning in circles, her sleep improved, and she began to feel peace in her own body.

But the biggest change?

Rachel regained a sense of control.

She was no longer waiting for her next trigger or panic attack.

She finally felt like herself again…

All because she addressed the real problem—the repressed energy/trauma stuck in her body.
