he wouldn't look me in the eye...
Out of 100+ clients, the one I’m most proud of?
Angel.
He’s someone I spent the better part of 3 years working with…
I’ll never forget the first six months though.
The man was paralyzed by fear and anxiety:
He hadn’t left his apartment in weeks
He wouldn’t look me in the eye
His system was always on “red alert” scanning for danger
As a young therapist, I’d never seen anything like it.
Because, this wasn’t about the occasional rough patch, Angel was in a place that’s hard to imagine.
He was truly stuck
But, fast forward to today and you wouldn’t believe it’s the same person.
I met him yesterday for the first time in a LONG time:
And, Angel met me with a huge, confident smile.
He’s in great shape, has a solid group of friends, and most importantly?
There’s a spring in his step and he feels safe.
I cannot share how rewarding it is to see how he’s grown.
I asked him about his turning point:
He said it was when he made the connection between his social anxiety, and how disconnected he had been from his body.
Back in the day, I noticed that he carried a lot of energy in his body… and it would get triggered, making him feel overwhelmed.
Now here’s a key thing to note:
We spent a lot of time working through Angel’s ability to tolerate discomfort (the energy) in his body. That was crucial.
Over time, he began to unwind.
The hyper-vigilance that crippled him slowly started to fade away.
His body learned how to relax and feel safe to the point where our therapy goals shifted from:
“Manage anxiety” to “Reclaim joy.”
But it was only possible because we first:
Released the anxiety, stress, and trapped energy from deep INSIDE his body.
It’s what made it possible for Angel to to work on himself and build the life he wanted— work on his passion projects, build lasting relationships, and pursue a life of purpose.
And while working on everything took as long as it did (anything worthwhile usually does)...
Going from crippled with anxiety to “functional” did not.
Which is why I’ve built The 20-Minute Neural Reset.
I want you to know it’s possible to feel this kind of change too.
Somatic Healing is one of the most transformative tools I’ve come across to manage anxiety, overwhelm and stress.
In fact, it’s the one I recommend clients get started with.
Because it’s super simple— you only need 20 minutes per week.
I’ll show you exactly how.
Just keep an eye on your inbox for when The 20-Minute Neural Reset launches.
Official date soon.
Love y’all,
