Burnout wasn't just knocking

...it had moved in

Before grad school, I thought I understood everything about managing stress.

Work less, rest more, find balance.

It seemed simple enough.

But what happens when the tools we rely on don’t actually help?

What if our best strategies for relief are part of the problem?

It wasn’t until my second year of grad school that I was forced to confront these issue head-on.

At the time, I was balancing 22 clients while researching and writing my thesis.

Let me tell you:

Burnout wasn’t just knocking—it had moved in.

One day, while venting to my research advisor, our conversation shifted to Somatic Psychology.

We had both leaned on it personally and professionally, but as we talked, something became painfully obvious:

The models we were trained in didn’t reflect our professional experience.

They were outdated, overly focused on diagnosis, and too time-consuming to be practical.

While these tools were helpful in some cases, they often missed the mark.

They weren’t grounded in the latest neuroscience or designed for someone who simply wants to feel less overwhelmed, more present, and alive in their body.

I couldn’t ignore it:

The way we approach healing needs a serious update.

There’s a faster, more effective way to feel good in your body, and it doesn’t require endless therapy or complicated techniques.

In my next email, I’ll dive a bit deeper into what I discovered—and how it might change your life, too.

Stay tuned.
